A.N: This takes place not too long into Power Rangers in Space. This is my fist song fic and first completed story (on the net) and my first Power Ranger Fic. I’m not happy with it but I thought I’d put it up anyway. The song is called Together We Can by the Cheetah Girls from the movie the Cheetah Girls…Disney owns it.
Together We Can

Ashley sighed as she walked aimlessly around the Megaship. It had been a couple of weeks since she, Carlos, Cassie and T.j had become the Astro rangers. Ashley had tried countless times to get Andros to open up but she’d failed miserably each time and it was driving her crazy.
“Why won’t he just accept us? He can’t expect to do this on his own. Can he?” She grumbled to herself in frustration, unaware that Cassie was walking behind her.
Hold on, sit tight
Are you ready for a crazy ride?
Your on your own it ain’t right.
Something’s gotta give tonight.
Cassie smiled and spoke when Ashley stopped walking. “You know you can’t help everyone, Ash. They’ve got to want help.”
Ashley jumped and spun around quickly to face Cassie. She smiled as they resumed walking this time beside each other instead of one behind the other. “I know I can’t but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to try.”
Cassie’s smile grew. “That’s true; you never could give up on something or someone without one hell of a fight.”
They walked in silence for the next several minutes mainly wondering where the hell they were going. Ashley stopped once again in frustration and turned to face Cassie.
“I mean, Cas it’s been like what two weeks since we got here and he’s still treating us like a burden and doing everything on his own. We’re suppose to be a team!”
Cassie gently put a hand on Ashley’s arm when she was finished to calm her down. During her little speech Ashley had begun flailing her arms around.
“Ash, maybe he just needs more time then you’re giving him. I mean you remember what DECA said. It’s got to be hard to loose all your team members at one time. Andros has been on his own for a long time and isn’t use to people helping him.
As Ashley processed what Cassie had said she saw Andros turn the corner. When he saw her he stopped immediately and went the other way.
So if you wanna run, run and disappear.
You and I can bust our ways right out of here.
“You’re probably right Cassie. I think I’ll go and try to talk to him now though.”
Cassie sighed and nodded. She looked at Ashley’s retreating back and mumbled under her breath. “Sorry Andros I tried.”
Ashley found Andros hunched over something in the bridge. She smiled as she heard him talking with DECA. As she walked toward him, he looked up and the frown he already wore grew larger.
“Did you want something, Ashley?”
Ashley nodded. “Yeah, I wanted to talk to you.”
“About what?” Andros replied reluctantly.
Ashley took a deep breath. “Hope he doesn’t bolt,” she thought before speaking. “About the group…the team. What’s making you keep such a distance from us? I mean we don’t bite you know?”
Andros had to smile at that remark. “I know it’s just.......” He stopped speaking and sighed. Did he really want to tell what was really on his mind? When Andros looked up from what he was doing Ashley was smiling reassuringly at him. She realized that it might be hard for him to talk about certain things.
Andros cleared his throat and began to speak again. “I don’t mean to distance myself. I guess it just seems safer that way.”
Quietly Ashley said. “What do you mean? Is it because of what happened before?”
When Andros spoke again Ashley had to lean closer to him to hear. He was speaking in a voice barely above a whisper. “Yeah, I suppose it is. I’m afraid that the same thing will happen again. That I will fail you guys like I did them.”
Ashley frowned slightly and put a hand gently on Andros’ arm for support. “You can’t blame yourself for that Andros. There was no way you could have known it was a trap. We’re stronger as a team Andros. Together we can make sure nothing like that happens again and together we can find Zordon.”
Together we can.
Shoot the moon, stop the rain even ride a hurricane,

Walk into space save the human race, do you think we oughta?
Andros sighed, he knew she was right. “I know I can’t do it on my own but......”
Ashley cut him off before he could finish his sentence. “No buts Andros. All five of us are a team. You’re not alone Andros so stop trying to do everything on your own. If you keep trying to you might end up with the same fate as your friends and somehow I don’t think they would want that. Now will you please let us help? We’re your friends now to you know.”
Andros was quiet for several minutes before he looked at Ashley laughing slightly and smiling again.
If we take our time, we can have it all.
I don’t think we’re gonna make it on our own.
Ashley starred at him in wonder; this was not the reaction she was expecting. “What?”
Andros shook his head. “Nothing. You never give up do you?”
Ashley smiled. “You know you’re the second person to tell me that today.” She finally felt like she was getting somewhere. Ashley had been afraid he would have gotten mad when she talked about his friends.
Before they could talk more DECA announced that a monster was attacking a park on Earth. Andros and Ashley’s eyes met briefly before they ran to meet up with the others. It was then Ashley knew that Andros would finally agree to their help. The Astro Rangers would finally be what they were suppose to be from the beginning..............................a team.
