She watched them through the flames. Watched as they blocked everyone out; whispering about things she couldn’t hear.
She watched as they sat side by side whispering, without really saying anything at all.
She watched as firelight danced across their faces, leaving behind for the briefest of moments, emotions kept hidden.
She watched as they watched the fire, the starts, the woods and the others; all in a peaceful silence.
Kimberly watched Billy and Jason through the fire; wondering if what was hidden would ever be seen or if the camp-fire would be the only thing to reveal hidden truths.
